Humble Dog is a proudly Canadian, veteran family–owned business based in Waasis, New Brunswick. We specialize in custom embroidered patches, high-quality training gear, and nutritious freeze-dried treats for working dogs, service dogs, and the people who rely on them. Every patch is designed and embroidered in-house, and while some accessories are sourced from trusted global suppliers, our focus remains on supporting hardworking dogs and handlers across Canada with gear that’s functional, durable, and meaningful.

Our Story Begins with Cooper

It all started with Cooper, our spirited Belgian Malinois. As we trained him to be a reliable working dog, we struggled to find treats and gear that met his needs. Cooper had a sensitive stomach, so we started making our own freeze-dried, single-ingredient raw treats right at home, including his all-time favourite: freeze-dried cheese (bonus—it doesn’t get mushy in your pocket!).

From DIY Patches to a Growing Business

As Cooper’s training continued, we noticed how public attention often disrupted his progress. So we created custom embroidered patches for his vest, clear messages like “In Training” and “Do Not Distract.” Soon, other dog owners and handlers started asking for their own custom patches. From there, Humble Dog grew into a small business with a big mission: creating gear that works as hard as your dog does.

Our Mission: Real Dogs. Real Work. Real Support.

We’re more than just patches and treats. We’re passionate about training, health, and supporting working dog teams across Canada. I’m actively working toward becoming a certified professional dog trainer, with credentials in the Mission Ready K9 Program and as a Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach. Whether it’s improving strength and stamina or preventing injury, we believe every dog deserves to feel their best.

Supporting Veterans and Their Service Dogs

We’re honoured to sponsor service dog teams through Veteran’s Elite Canines, a nonprofit that matches veterans with trained service dogs. Each dog receives custom Humble Dog patches as a small token of our appreciation for the work they do. Giving back to those who’ve served our country is deeply personal to us and always will be.
