About us
Humble Dog was created after making Cooper a part of our family back in 2021! With all of the training that goes into a working dog, I decided to start making him homemade freeze-dried raw training treats to complement his raw diet. Cooper has a sensitive stomach that is affected by low-quality food which slows down training and often creates a "stinky situation".
So we knew we wanted single-ingredient treats to have if we weren't using cheese. It worked out so well I even started freeze-drying cheese for Cooper and the best part is it doesn't get mushy in your pocket!
While out and about we rapidly noticed how many people were drawn to Cooper which caused some distractions that were affecting his training and confidence. (People seem to struggle at not touching him.) I knew he needed some patches on his vest to actively alert the public not to engage with him. I then started designing and embroidering patches to help prevent these interactions. The initial patches contained the words "In Training" and "Do Not Pet" as well as his name. The patches quickly grew in popularity with regular clients ordering patches for their dogs or service dogs. This grew into making custom embroidery patches for working dogs as well as accessories and more!
Through my journey, I have cultivated a deep passion for dog training, and I am currently dedicated to pursuing a career as a professional dog trainer. I have obtained certifications in the "Mission Ready K9 Program" and as a Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach. My primary objective is to acquire the necessary confidence, knowledge, and skills to fulfill the specific needs of Cooper, as well as any future dogs we may have. By mastering the art of designing training programs, I aim to minimize the risk of injuries while simultaneously enhancing speed, strength, and stamina. This comprehensive understanding underscores the significance of implementing a weekly fitness plan, ultimately reducing the likelihood of injuries and promoting a long and healthy life for our beloved canine companion.
